Something I’ve Missed

I used to live, a very long time ago, in Lawton, Oklahoma. One of the finest things in the world, for a teenage boy, was cruising “the strip” and stopping into Wayne’s Drive Inn for a Cherry Limeade. I am really looking forward to having another in that most famous institution of the Lawton (teen) nightlife.

Oh… and a Meers Burger out at Meers. *mouth watering* They used to be the size of a dinner plate, with all the trimmings, and sliced into eight pieces like a pie.

Taken from the Meers website:

“Meersburger, a 7″ diameter burger made exclusively from prize winning Texas Longhorn beef raised on the family’s own ranch. Beef that is actually lower in cholesterol than chicken!”

  1. My offer stands…

  2. The lines at Meers seem to be longer than ever, but that could just be me. They did add on to the building a while back.

  3. OMG, You are from my part of the country. It has been years, but I have had the cherry limeades. Sadly even though I have heard so much about the Meers burgers, have never been able to try one. I was born and raised just down the road to the east, little town called Rush Springs. Spent most of my adult life in Walters before moving to Texas in 88. Have a limeade for me will you. If you plans bring you anywhere near Tyler, Texas please let us know. Would love to give you a warm welcome from the “Welcome Home Soldiers” group.

God Speed and safe journey. A Soldiers Angel

  4. You’ve *NEVER* had a burger out at Meers? tsk tsk tsk

    *GRIN*
